Let surfaces drain and air dry. Do not rinse or wipe. For immersion, replace solution daily, or more frequently if it becomes significantly soiled or diluted.
DISINFECTION
DISINFECTION PRE-CLEANING. Pre-cleaning is a necessary step for disinfection, as CLEAN must make contact with the surface to which it’s being applied to be effective. Therefore, it’s important to remove any visible soils or other contaminants that may prevent such contact prior to disinfection. To pre-clean a surface, spray CLEAN directly onto any visible filth, soils or debris, and wipe clean with a dry paper towel or cloth.
TO DISINFECT HARD, NON-POROUS SURFACES*: CLEAN cleans, disinfects and deodorizes hard, nonporous surfaces in one step, with no rinsing or wiping required.
Follow the below Instructions for disinfecting pre-cleaned, hard, non-porous surfaces such as, glass, plastic, painted wood, laminates, chrome, stainless steel, other plated metals, polyurethane coated hardwood floors, glazed ceramic tile, sealed concrete and linoleum floors, appliance exteriors, bed frames, cabinet handles, wheelchairs, child car seats, counters, cribs, doorknobs, tables, tubs, exterior toilet surfaces, faucet handles, handrails, jungle gyms, keyboards, light switch covers, patio furniture, showers, sinks, stovetops, telephones, toys, walls, waste containers and similar surfaces:
Instructions: Apply CLEAN undiluted, full strength by wetting surfaces with spray, sponge or mop. Allow surfaces to remain wet for 5 minutes or 10 minutes for virus inactivation (refer to the Viruses Table for contact times), and 10 minutes for bacterial disinfection.
FOR TUBERCULOCIDAL DISINFECTION: For Tuberculocidal Disinfection, the surface must remain wet with CLEAN for 10 minutes.
*NOTES:
- For additional disinfection information, see HOSPITALS AND HEALTHCARE FACILITIES USE
DEODORIZATION
GENERAL DEODORIZATION: Eliminates even tough, deep-set odors, including odors from fire smoke, tobacco smoke, ammonia, sulfur, pet urine, commercial and residential kitchens, bathrooms, animal kennels, barn stalls, and many others. To deodorize, simply wipe on, spray, or fog undiluted CLEAN, and allow to air dry. CLEAN works by oxidation, not by masking of odors. CLEAN must come into contact with the cause of the odor to be effective. When fogging to deodorize apply 1 quart CLEAN per 2000 cubic ft of area, following the fogger manufacturer's directions for use.
TO DEODORIZE FABRICS*: Test fabrics for color fastness in an inconspicuous area. Spray fabric with CLEAN until lightly damp, allow to air dry. Repeat application if necessary for stubborn odors.
TO DEODORIZE OR FRESHEN CARPETS*: Spray carpet with CLEAN until lightly damp allow to air dry.
TO DEODORIZE OR REFRESH AIR: Spray or fog CLEAN in the air in a sweeping motion throughout the entire room.
TO DEODORIZE HVAC SYSTEM & DUCTWORK: Spray CLEAN into system intake vents while system fan is running. Allow enough spray time for CLEAN to contact air duct system surfaces. Repeat application as necessary.
*NOTES:
FABRIC AND CARPET ADVISORY: Before using CLEAN on fabrics or carpets, test for color fastness on a small, hidden area. If color is affected after drying, do not use
ALLERGEN REMOVAL
TO CLEAN AND REDUCE SPECIFIED ALLERGENS: Spray or fog surfaces with CLEAN, wipe away excess product and allow to air dry. If streaking is observed, wipe with a clean, damp cloth or paper towel.
TO REMOVE ALLERGENS: Spray or fog surface with CLEAN. Allow to set for 5 minutes, wipe clean, and allow to air dry.
FUNGUS ELIMINATION
TO ELIMINATE FUNGUS ON HARD SURFACES: To kill fungus on hard, non-porous surfaces, remove visible surface dirt and debris by cleaning. Spray or fog CLEAN onto surface until thoroughly wet. Allow to sit for 10 minutes.
TO CONTROL FUNGUS TRICHOPHYTON INTERDIGITALE: For effective control of the fungus Trichophyton Interdigitale, treated surface must remain completely wet with CLEAN for 10 minutes.
MOLD & MILDEW REMOVAL AND PREVENTION
TO PREVENT THE GROWTH OF MOLD AND MILDEW: Pre-clean target surface by removing any gross filth and heavy soils. Spray surface with CLEAN until thoroughly wet. Allow to air dry.
TO REMOVE AND INHIBIT THE GROWTH OF MOLD AND MILDEW: For mold or mildew on floors, walls, ceilings and fabrics, remove as much surface dirt, mold, mildew, and other debris as possible by cleaning. Spray surface with CLEAN from a distance of 12 inches until visibly wet. To be fully effective, treated surfaces must remain visibly wet for 10 minutes. Allow surface to air dry.
FOR COMPREHENSIVE MOLD REMEDIATION OR WATER DAMAGE: CLEAN can be used as part of a comprehensive mold remediation or water damage restoration program, which should include monitoring for conditions favorable to mold growth such as moisture ingress, water leaks, and high relative humidity, eliminating conditions favorable to mold growth, and drying affected areas to below 20% moisture content. When water damage is suspected, first eliminate the water source. Next, remove excess water and dry surfaces thoroughly.
CLEAN can also be used on materials removed for disposal. If excess water is removed within 24 hours and surfaces are thoroughly dried, spraying affected surfaces with CLEAN will inhibit growth. Structural members and/or contents exposed to water in excess of 24 hours may have extensive microbial growth that is not visible. Prepare a complete assessment and remediation plan to incorporate the use of CLEAN.

Directions For Use:
- Remove gross soils and debris. Clean surface soil from contaminated area with CLEAN. For best results, and to avoid possible interference from other chemicals, use CLEAN for initial cleaning. Utilizing a cleaning tool (cloth or cleaning pad) suitable for the surface being cleaned, remove as much dirt and mold as possible.
- Apply CLEAN on area until evenly wet.
- To promote drying and to avoid residue marks, wipe off excess wetness with a clean cloth or paper towel.
- Allow treated surfaces to dry completely. If mold stains remain following treatment, reapply CLEAN and wipe or scrub away stains. Note however, that is some cases staining may be irreversible. If, following treatment, additional steps are taken to remove stains, reapply CLEAN as a final step and allow to air dry to protect area from regrowth.
Large Areas, defined as affected areas greater than 30 square feet, require special procedures and individuals trained in remediation. Refer to the above recommended websites for guidelines on remediation. Before using CLEAN to mitigate large areas, you should understand these guidelines and follow them before attempting to apply CLEAN.
REAPPLICATION: Reapply CLEAN weekly or when growth or odor reappears. Determine and correct the cause of re-growth and ensure the surface has been thoroughly dried before reapplication. Reapply CLEAN if surfaces are washed or painted. Reapply weekly on hard non-porous surfaces and monthly on fabrics, or whenever new growth appears.
PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT SUGGESTIONS FOR APPLICATORS: For areas less than 30 square feet, an N-95 respirator, gloves and goggles/eye protection are recommended to avoid mold or mold spore exposure. For areas greater than 30 square feet, use an N-95 respirator or half-face respirator with HEPA filter, disposable overalls, gloves and goggles/eye protection.
MOLD & MILDEW REMOVAL (CARPETS & TEXTILES)
CARPET AND TEXTILE MOLD & MILDEW REMOVAL*: Mold infested carpets and textiles can be difficult to adequately clean and treat. If the infested carpet or textile is not readily accessible to allow for the proper application of CLEAN, including the thorough wetting and completion of the additional steps described in this section, the carpet or textile should be removed and discarded in a manner consistent with applicable state and local regulations and instructions.
Test for color fastness in an inconspicuous area. Carpet should be free of debris and excessive soils before applying CLEAN. For small spots of mold growth, apply CLEAN, undiluted, by cloth, spray bottle, electric or compression sprayer, paintbrush, roller, immersion, wiping, brush, sponge, or use an extraction device to remove mold growth. Dry carpet within 24 hours to eliminate conditions favorable to mold growth. To assist the drying process, the use of fans, dehumidifiers, heaters or other methods of ventilation are encouraged. Please consult with your local county extension office or the EPA for more information.
Once the carpet or textile is completely dry, it should be vacuumed thoroughly, after which the vacuum cleaner bag should be discarded in a sealed plastic bag or container. If a bagless vacuum is used, spray the dirt collection bin with undiluted CLEAN and let stand for 10 minutes.
After a flood or water damage, vacuum or extract as much water as possible before applying CLEAN. Apply full strength with sprayer until damp to carpet nap, and rake or brush in. Allow to sit until dry.
* NOTES:
- FABRIC AND CARPET ADVISORY: Before using CLEAN on fabrics or carpets, test for color fastness on a small, hidden area. If color is affected after drying, do not use.

devices prior to sterilization or high-level disinfection.
TO CLEAN, HARD, NON-POROUS SURFACES: Blood and other body fluids must be thoroughly cleaned from surfaces following OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and safety procedures before applying CLEAN.
TO DISINFECT PRE-CLEANED, HARD, NON-POROUS SURFACES: Apply CLEAN full-strength by wetting surfaces thoroughly with spray, sponge, mop, or by immersion in solution. Allow surfaces to remain wet for 5 or 10 minutes for virus inactivation (refer to the Viruses Table for contact times) and 10 minutes for bacterial disinfection. For immersion, replace solution daily, or more frequently if it becomes significantly soiled or diluted.
FOR TUBERCULOCIDAL DISINFECTION: For Tuberculocidal Disinfection, the surface must remain wet with CLEAN for 10 minutes.
DISPOSAL OF INFECTIOUS MATERIALS: When handling items soiled with blood or bodily fluids, use disposable latex gloves, gowns, masks, and eye coverings. Blood and other body fluids should be autoclaved and disposed of according to Federal, State, and local regulations for infectious waste disposal.
HVAC SYSTEMS & AIR DUCTS
FOR ANTIMICROBIAL CONTROL AND INDOOR AIR QUALITY: To treat microbial growth and other contamination, including odor causing bacteria, mold, and fungi in all types of HVAC Systems and Air Ducts, remove visible soils, grime, mold and other contaminants from target surface. Spray or fog surface with CLEAN until thoroughly wet, giving special attention to cracks and crevices. Allow 10 to 20 minutes for drying. No rinsing or wiping is required.
To minimize the release of scent into the spaces being served by the system, once the treated surfaces have dried, it is best practice to purge the system by increasing the negative pressure through the outdoor exhaust or negative air machine, or by turning on the vacuum if used to pre-clean the HVAC system, while removing the duct openings seals.
TO DEODORIZE HVAC SYSTEMS AND DUCTWORK: To deodorize HVAC systems and ductwork in residential, commercial and industrial buildings, spray or fog CLEAN into system intake vents while system fan is running. Allow enough spray time for CLEAN to contact air duct system surfaces. Repeat application as necessary.
APPLICATION FREQUENCY: Normally, applying CLEAN every 3 months for HVAC systems and every 6 months for air ducts will provide effective microbial control. Some critical applications such as HVAC and air duct systems serving critical healthcare spaces or clean rooms, where it is essential to minimize the generation of particulate matter that may be released as a byproduct of microbial growth, may require more frequent treatment. Do not apply more often than monthly, and then only if there is evidence of re-growth. This product must only be used in those cases where visible microbial growth has been detected in the system, and then only after removing that growth and identifying and correcting the conditions that led to it. In such cases, investigate to determine the cause of the re-growth and correct that problem prior to re-application. Make sure the reoccurrence of microbial growth does not have another cause such as persistently high humidity, standing water, or hidden leaks.
Also prior to re-application, the interior of the air ducts and other surfaces must be inspected and found to be free of accumulated soil. If soil or growth is found, the cause should be determined and corrected, and the ducts then cleaned in accordance with accepted industry practice. If microbial growth persists in air ducts following application, re-inspect for duct leaks, carryover of water from cooling coils, humidifiers, and other sources of moisture promoting growth. Eliminate such sources of moisture before retreating.
